Our Story

At New Perspective Financial we focus on what is important. What is important to you - not us. So we ask questions. Lots of questions. You see, we want to know and understand your story. What makes you uniquely you?

Your finances are only one facet of your life. In fact money is simply a tool that can help you achieve some of your goals. So before we can possibly advise or assist you with your finances, we need to understand what you are all about. The questions we ask are designed to help us "see" your life from your perspective. What drives or motivates you? Who and what is important to you? What do you want to achieve and what is your timeline?  What are the activities that shape your life and give it meaning? What are your core values and what do you hope to leave as a legacy? Only then do we begin to consider your money and how it fits into all this. 

Once we begin to know and understand your story we can determine how best to work with you in devising a financial strategy that is driven by your priorities. The problems solved are your problems. Real world solutions to real world problems. The strategies developed, the recommendations offered and any referrals to other professionals are all predicated upon what you bring to the table. Many clients find the exercise itself is invaluable, as fuzzy thinking is sharpened and clarified and sometimes a "new perspective" emerges.

These conversations often take place over the course of several meetings around the conference table at our office in Essex or in the homes of our clients. The process, however, often begins well in advance of that first visit, as prospective clients attend, interact, learn and are challenged at the financial workshops and seminars we have been offering for many years.
